![]() Harem Seeker: The main character's entire goal is to get himself a harem full of cute demon girls. The title Helltaker could also be seen as a synonym of Doomslayer. He is also one to The Doomguy/Doomslayer, a character well known for fearlessly taking on the forces of Hell singlehandedly. His attire and ultimate goal can also bring to mind Larry Laffer. With his heavy, muscled build, sunglasses and his womanizing tendencies, it's easy to see some Johnny Bravo influence on the Helltaker's design.Amusingly, all of the girls in question take the more innocuous meaning (e.g., Malina interpreting "I'd sure love to play with you" as a desire to play video games). Double Entendre: About half his lines of dialogue with the demon girls can easily be interpreted as cheap pickup lines.Add to that the romance aspects with Lucifer and the aforementioned Modeus and we can definitely say he did get at least a few girls, even though he doesn't seem exactly. Given what Azazel, Modeus and Pandemonica were doing to him, it's safe to say there's no chastity involved when it comes to the three of them. Subverted in one of the latest comics. All that said, the ending of the Examtaker DLC indicates that Lucifer does hold some feelings and still misses him, even many many years after he went missing in the Abyss timeline. The guy must have been lonely to make do with the company he keeps. All comics so far seem to support him not really being in a relationship with any of the girls, and being happy nonetheless. However, he takes it in stride, being happy to have made friends. The others, in the end, just become loud and rowdy roommates rather than a harem devoted to him, with Azazel even being implied to only be interested in the demon girls. Did Not Get the Girl: Basically none of the girls seem to actually see him as a substantial romantic partner other than potentially Modeus, given her blushing at the idea of a date with him, and her being only one hugging him in the normal ending slide, whereas Beelzebub is the only one confirmed to have at least some amount of feelings and interest in him, but that's only in the timeline where he willingly traps himself in the Abyss with her, making him lose out on his original harem.In-universe, the Helltaker can only survive in hell through sheer willpower alone, and out of it, you will have to constantly endure brutal puzzles that have one solution, very precise numbers of moves available, and likely many, many, many deaths before you get it right. The Determinator: The Helltaker is one and by extension, the player.Covered with Scars: The Pancake Recipe Comic shows him with various scars around his body, most of them probably gained from the girls.Chick Magnet: He's gotten the notice of Modeus, Lucifer, and Beelzebub.Casanova Wannabe: His dream is to build a harem full of demon girls and he uses some lines to convince them that sound a lot like cheap pick-up lines.Badass Normal: There's not much indication that he has any supernatural powers, yet he still somehow got into Hell so he'd obtain a harem of demon girls. ![]() Badass in a Nice Suit: A Sharp-Dressed Man who dives into hell to pick up chicks on a whim.Anti-Hero: The protagonist is motivated solely by the fact that a harem of demon women sounded like a cool idea. ![]() Either way, the guy seems to be happy with the result.
